Major: Visual Arts
“I am currently studying Visual Arts here at West Coast Baptist College! Last year I had been struggling with what degree to pursue. Being creative has always been something that came easy to me and a passion of mine. However, the degrees offered were not really any of my interests. Do I feel like God wants me in ministry? Yes! But I didn't really feel like a missions or church ministry major was something I would enjoy studying for 4 years. So naturally I enrolled in Elementary Education. It seemed like the best degree for my future. But again, my heart was not in it, and I kinda felt as though I was wasting time and money on something I really didn't want to do (sorry Mrs. Demerjin). Over the summer I had told my parents that I would love to just take all of the graphic design, photography, and media classes at WCBC if I could and somehow still graduate with something. Well, that is exactly what God brought to me this semester with the new Visual Arts program! I am so excited for the future and I love my classes!!”
