This concentration includes study in general musicianship, philosophy of church music, music education, and performance proficiency of an instrument. A music student is trained to lead a music ministry in the local church and in the Christian school. All of the Bible courses and practical studies are required in this department which prepares the student for a ministry in the local church in a multitude of areas.

Students developing their skills as instrumentalists have many opportunities to use their abilities for Christ throughout their college experience. From the college orchestra to accompanying special groups for events and extension ministries, students develop technique and gain experience.
