JB Godfrey and his wife, Linda, have five children and twelve grandchildren. He is a graduate of Tennessee Temple University and received a Doctor of Divinity from Oklahoma Baptist College. In 1973, the Godfreys joined BIMI and worked in Senegal and Zaire until 1993. In 1993, Dr. Godfrey became pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Landrum, SC. In 2002, he was asked to serve as Far East Director with BIMI. He and Linda travel all over the Far East and other parts of the world. He also teaches missions at West Coast Baptist College in the fall semester. The Godfreys love helping missionaries and their churches. They also enjoy learning new languages and eating foods, sometimes strange foods, from all over the world.
